YOUNG RESEARCHER AND INNOVATOR GRANT
The COST Action CA21128 PROBONO is pleased to announce the Young Researcher and Innovator Grant, aimed at supporting early-career researchers and fostering excellence and innovation within the PROBONO community.
Eligibility
Applicants must be:
- up to 40 years old
- PhD students, or Early-career researchers who obtained their PhD no more than 5 years prior to the application deadline.
- affiliated to a legal entity in a COST Full Member or Near Neighbour Country (link)
Application Requirements
Applications will be evaluated based on the following documents:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- List of submitted and/or published scientific publications
- Motivation letter, outlining:
- The applicant’s research interests
- Relevance to the CA21128 PROBONO Action
- Expected benefits of participating in a scientific conference
Evaluation Criteria
Applications will be assessed on:
- Membership in a Working Group (WG) of the CA21128 PROBONO Action
- Scientific quality and originality of the applicant’s research
- Relevance to PROBONO objectives
- Academic track record relative to career stage
- Motivation and potential impact of the grant on the applicant’s career development
Grant Award
The selected applicant will receive:
- A prize consisting of an oral presentation at a conference of interest to the participant, aligned with the scope of the CA21128 PROBONO Action.
- Financial support to cover conference participation costs (travel and accommodation, registration fee won’t be covered), in accordance with CA21128 PROBONO and COST rules

INCLUSIVENESS TARGET COUNTRIES (ITC) CONFERENCE GRANT
The CA21128 PROBONO Action invites applications for the Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITC) Conference Grant, aimed at supporting researchers and innovators from ITCs participating in the PROBONO project and enhancing their visibility within the international scientific community.
Eligibility
The call is open to all participants of the COST Action CA21128 PROBONO who are affiliated with institutions located in Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITCs):
The current list of ITCs includes:
Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Croatia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Republic of North Macedonia, Republic of Serbia, Türkiye, and Ukraine

- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- List of submitted and/or published scientific publications
- Motivation letter, outlining:
- Research profile and achievements
- Relevance to the objectives of CA21128 PROBONO
- Justification for attending a scientific conference and expected impact of participation

- Scientific quality and relevance of the applicant’s research
- Alignment with the CA21128 PROBONO Action
- Academic output and experience relative to career stage

Grant Award
The selected applicant(s) will receive:
- The opportunity to give an oral presentation at a scientific conference of interest to the participant, relevant to the scope of CA21128 PROBONO.
- Financial support to cover conference participation costs (travel and accommodation, registration fee won’t be covered), in accordance with CA21128 PROBONO and COST rules
