Young Researcher and Innovator Grant 

The COST Action CA21128 PROBONO is pleased to announce a second call for the Young Researcher and Innovator Grant for participation to a conference, aimed at supporting early-career researchers and fostering excellence and innovation within the PROBONO community.  This call does not support participation in the IWPROBONO.

Young Researcher and Innovator Grant 

The COST Action CA21128 PROBONO is pleased to announce the Young Researcher and Innovator Grant for Conference participation, aimed at supporting early-career researchers and fostering excellence and innovation within the PROBONO community.

Eligibility

Applicants must be:

  • up to 40 years old
  • PhD students, or Early-career researchers who obtained their PhD no more than 5 years prior to the application deadline.
  • affiliated to a legal entity in a COST Full Member or Near Neighbour Country (read)

NOTE: The conference or workshop should not be organized by PROBONO and must conclude no later than 23rd October 2026, including time for travel back. This call does not support participation in the IWPROBONO.

Application Requirements

Applications will be evaluated based on the following documents:

  1. Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  2. List of submitted and/or published scientific publications
  3. Motivation letter, outlining:
    • The applicant’s research interests
    • Relevance to the CA21128 PROBONO Action
    • Conference you plan to participate and expected benefits

 

Evaluation Criteria

Applications will be assessed on:

  • Membership in a Working Group (WG) of the CA21128 PROBONO Action
  • Scientific quality and originality of the applicant’s research
  • Relevance to PROBONO objectives
  • Academic track record relative to career stage
  • Motivation and potential impact of the grant on the applicant’s career development

Grant Award

The selected applicant will receive:

  • prize consisting of an oral presentation at a conference of interest to the participant, aligned with the scope of the CA21128 PROBONO Action.
  • Financial support to cover conference participation costs (travel and accommodation, registration fee), in accordance with CA21128 PROBONO and COST rules

  • Application deadline: 8 July 2026
  • Notification of decision: 10 July 2026
